SLIDING DOORS AND WINDOWS

Sliding doors are a wonderful addition to any home because they allow you to open up your living space to the outdoors. Where necessary, we can fit existing sliding doors with flyscreens which we manufacture with precision at our joinery in Byron Bay Arts & Industry Estate.

The maximum width of each "leaf" is 1250mm and the minimum size "reveal" is 140mm which allows the doors to stack correctly.

All sets include:

Bottom track - We use bronze which is less likely to dent than other metals. This in turn ensures smooth operation even in areas where dents are likely to occur.

Top track and rattle block - We use an aluminium "T" section top track with black plastic rattle blocks for noise reduction. This addresses the issue of cost v efficiency, since the aluminium "T" section is only used in areas were damage is unlikely to occur.

Rollers - Heavy duty stainless steel rollers are used because of their durability and ease of adjustment with a screwdriver.

Weatherseal - All our units are sealed by application of a rubber based weatherseal to all necessary components.

BI FOLDING DOORS AND WINDOWS

Bi-folding doors and windows are a very popular way of extending living spaces to the outdoors. They can be set to open by stacking internally or externally.

There are many different configurations, so when deciding please keep in mind that there is a maximum of eight leafs in one direction. An odd number of leafs in one direction will give you a single access door. An even number of doors will have to be bi-folded for access.

The doors are top hung with concealed bottom guide track making them invisible when the doors are closed.

Bi folding windows can be made with a servery style sill which has no bottom timber stops, giving a flat surface inside and out.

All sets include:

Bottom Track - A concealed aluminium bottom track with a black plastic insert for smooth movement of bottom guides.

Top Track & Rattle Block - We use aluminium tracks for smooth movement of top hung rollers.

Hinges and Rollers - Heavy duty stainless steel rollers and hinges used are ideal for varied climates.

Weatherseal - All of the units we offer are supplied with rubber based weatherseal which is attached to all necessary components.

SINGLE & FRENCH DOOR SETS

Swing doors are the classic old style of filling door openings and can open in or out. Screens can be used providing there is enough space to allow for the doors to open in and the screens to open out.

The door units have a champhered sill, allowing water to run off easily. We supply a maximum width on each door of 1 meter, allowing a set of French doors to be a maximum width of 2 meters.

All sets include:

Stainless Steel Ball Bearing Hinges - These top quality hinges are standard on our swing doors because of their capacity to endure our extreme climate. Two hinges are used unless the doors are oversized, in which case three hinges are used.

Rebated Doors - We rebate our doors to give a good seal against extreme weather.

Weatherseal - All of the units we offer are supplied with rubber based weatherseal which is attached to all necessary components.

CASEMENT & AWNING WINDOWS

Casement and awning windows are the classic old style way of filling window openings. All units are constructed wiht champhers sill to allow water to escape easily.

Casement windows can be operated using friction stay hinges to a maximum leaf size of 1.4 Metersh High and 840mm wide. This allows windows to stay in any position when opened.

Lareger leaf sizes can be screened, either with the windows opening in and the screens on the outside or with fixed screens.

Awning windows can also be operated with friction stay hinges, but to a maximum leaf size of 1220mm high and 900mm wide. Fixed screens can also be used.

All sets include:

Friction Stay Hinges - These allow the windows to open to any distance and remain there.

Rebated Leaves - We rebate pairs of windows to create a strong seal agains our extreme weather conditions.

Weatherseal - All of the units we offer are supplied with rubber based weatherseal which is attached to all necessary components.

DOUBLE HUNG WINDOWS

Double hung/sash windows are a beautiful way of filling in openings. They can be screened easily using a fixed fley screen. Each unit has a champhered sill ensuring good water run off.

All sets include:

Spiral sash balances - This allows the top or bottom sash (window) to be opened to any distance and hold its position by the tension of the balances.

Weatherseal - All of the units we offer are supplied with rubber based weatherseal which is attached to all necessary components.
